Talwar sword

A Talwar is a type of saber, or single-edged sword from the Indian subcontinent. This particular sword was commissioned in 2019 for a wedding, and I based the blade and handle dimensions on a historical example in an exhibition by the esteemed Asian Arms expert, Runjeet Singh.
The blade is pattern-welded steel with three fullers on each side, and the hilt is brass, which I hand engraved with flowers and leaf patterns. The scabbard is wood with a velvet exterior and brass fittings, engraved to match the hilt of the sword.
